Barret is moving from the ALP and into Skool!!!
But like any conversion of systems, there are going to be hang-ups, glitches, questions and all that fun stuff! So, we’ve built this page to be a resource for you as you move into the new system. Also, know that Chris, Ashley, and Byron are here to help with any part of the process too.
Check out the video below for a walkthrough on setting up your account. Right below that is an FAQ about the process as well.
FAQ:
Why is Barret moving to Skool?
Skool allows for a much better learning experience for everyone involved. It allows you to sync Barret events with your calendars, it has a mobile app that is fantastic and much more user friendly than the mobile version of the ALP, and it allows for building an online community for community bankers across the country to network and share ideas/best practices with each other.
How do I sign up?
Once you have registered for a program, sign up for Roundtable, or we move you from the Roundtable portion of the ALP into Roundtable’s new home in Skool, you’ll get an email that looks like…click on JOIN NOW (in the email…not in the picture above) 😉 set up your account, and you’re off.
I don’t want to fill out a bio or upload a picture, why won’t it let me join?
The system requires you to upload some picture and fill out a brief “bio”. The bio doesn’t need to be your entire life story. Your bank, your title, maybe a funny saying or something that shows your personality…that will be fine. As for the picture, if you don’t want to upload a picture of yourself, a bank logo or some favorite picture of anything will work. I would add, though, that an online community works better as people feel like they know the real person behind the keyboard. Only people approved by Barret will be in this community and this is NOT open to the general public.
Ok, I’m in. What do I do now?
Right when you get in, you’ll see a post that says “Where am I?!? What is this place!?!?”. Click there and watch the video and it will show you how to get around. And feel free to click around on your own too. It’s very intuitive and you’ll be a pro in no time.
Will the ALP be available forever for my old stuff?
Unfortunately no. Part of this move is to help us administer our marketing and website and the ALP has to go. However, it won’t be immediate! If there are files you want to download, go ahead and do that now.
What about the Graduate School?
The graduate school will be getting their own Skool platform that will look and operate the same. Moving forward, all graduate school videos and material will be in their Skool area.
What about an app for my phone/tablet?
Go to your app store and search for “Skool Communities”. Download that app (it’s free), sign in with your email and password you created and you’ll be ready to go. The mobile version works great and also allows you to set up notifications as well.
